Wasage Divers - South East Sulawesi, Indonesia
Imin PADI Dive Instructor - Wakatobi & ButonAbout us

Wasage Divers, was established in early 2008 and is based in the town of Bau-Bau on Buton Island in South East Sulawesi. We run diving trips, liveaboard trips and PADI Dive Courses in the areas surrounding Buton Island, and also in the Wakatobi Marine National Park around Hoga Island. We set up our diving business in order to respond to an increasing number of tourists, and locals alike, who are wishing to explore the excellent coral reefs in the Wakatobi and around Buton Island, South East Sulawesi. We work in the areas surrounding Buton Island, including Bau-Bau, Pasarwajo, Siompu, and the Wakatobi Marine National Park, particularly around Hoga Island but also further afield aboard our affordable liveaboard the Bintang Sedang, which can take you to all corners of the Wakatobi National Park.

Our staff have more than 10 years of diving experience within the Wakatobi and around Buton Island. We have 2 PADI qualified Instructors and we can teach a range of dive courses up to the PADI Divemaster level, both in the medium of English and Bahasa Indonesia.

Wasage Divers has four main objectives:

  • One is to provide an excellent service guiding qualified divers wishing to explore the immensely diverse coral reefs and unique sea life that is abundant around the Wakatobi and Buton areas.

  • The second is to make available an affordable for all liveaboard from which divers can experience world class diving in all areas of the Wakatobi, which until now has been difficult and expensive to reach.

  • The third is to provide high quality dive training and PADI certification for groups from local government departments, non-government organisations, businesses, and any other individuals, right up to the PADI Divemaster level.

  • The fourth is to promote awareness locally regarding the importance of protecting and conserving the coral reefs of the Wakatobi and surrounding Buton Island.
